If
you are thinking of relocating, whether for business or lifestyle
reasons, the Greater Peterborough area makes a wonderful choice.
Located just under an hour north of London, the Greater Peterborough
Area is one of the fastest growing regions in Great Britain.
Peterborough is situated on the borders of East Anglia and The Midlands,
right on the edge of The Fens. The Fenland area of East Anglia was
reclaimed after drainage in 17th century by Dutch engineer Cornelius
Vermuyden. The origins of our present day city are Saxon but many
prehistoric finds prove that people have lived in this area for
over 6,000 years.

Peterborough is both historic and contemporary. Here you will find
the centuries old Norman catherdral and one of the most high-tech
housing developments in Great Britain at Hampton Hargate, where
every house is being fitted from scratch with a networked communications
system and digital television.
The fertile soil of the
nearby Fens provides some of the finest produce in the U.K., making
food production and processing key areas of industry in the Greater
Peterborough area.
Leisure features large in Peterborough
too, where landscaped cycleways, footpaths and bridleways weave
their way throughout the area. Shoppers will be delighted by the
Queensgate Shopping Centre, home to over 90 shops including several
major stores -- Argos, BHS, Boots, Gap, H & M, John Lewis, Marks
& Spencer, Next, Virgin Megastore and Waitrose. The newly completed
Serpentine Green shopping centre in Hampton features the largest
Tesco store in Europe along with other stores.
